Carnival Magic Review by YoPhuket: A Fun-Filled Family Day Out

Hi friends! Today, YoPhuket is back with an updated review of Carnival Magic, Phuket's colorful and lively theme park, after visiting it again with the kids. After several months since its grand opening, we wanted to see what has changed and share our experience with you. Here’s our full review, including tips to make the most of your visit.

1. Vibrant Atmosphere and Friendly Service

One thing that hasn’t changed at Carnival Magic is the vibrant, colorful atmosphere. The park is still a perfect spot for taking pictures, and the staff are as friendly and welcoming as ever, making the experience enjoyable from the moment you arrive.

2. Improved Food Options

The dining experience has gotten even better! There are more food and dessert options, with a clearer division between different types of food stations. We give a big thumbs up for the variety, though we found the kids' food station to be a bit far from the main area.

3. Pre-Show Parade Fun

Before the main show even begins, there’s now a pre-show parade that adds extra fun and excitement. It’s lively, colorful, and definitely a great way to build up anticipation for the show.

4. Upgraded Theater Show

The main theater show has been enhanced since the grand opening. There are more props, lighting effects, and overall "wow" moments, making the performance more engaging and less repetitive. Expect to be dazzled!

5. New Additions to the Light City

The magical City of Lights has grown, with more illuminated displays added throughout the park. Even the restrooms in every section have playful, decorative touches that continue to impress.

Tips for Visiting Carnival Magic

For those planning a visit, here are some handy tips to ensure you have a smooth and enjoyable experience:

  • Arrive Early: If you’ve booked tickets with dinner, try to arrive by 5:30 PM. Head straight to dinner first and save photo-taking for later.
  • Check Out the Restrooms: The restrooms inside the dining area are not to be missed — they’re beautifully designed and worth a visit!
  • Get the Free Magic Wand for Kids: If you’re visiting with children, don’t forget to exchange their ticket for a free magic wand at the Kids Club after dinner but before the parade starts.
  • Watch the Parade at the Giant Popcorn Spot: After finishing dinner around 7:10 PM, head to the giant popcorn spot to enjoy the parade. Once it’s over, you’ll have time to take pictures as the park lights up beautifully.
  • Don’t Miss the Themed Restrooms: Make sure to visit the large restrooms while you’re walking around the park — they’re uniquely designed and part of the experience!
  • Enter the Theater at 8:10 PM: The show starts at around 8:10 PM, and be aware that you’ll need to leave cameras and phones in the lockers, as they’re not allowed inside the theater. Staff will check bags, and if they find any devices, you’ll have to return them to the locker.
  • Visit the Restrooms in the Light City: After the show, don’t forget to stop by the beautifully designed restrooms inside the "City of Lights" area while you stroll around the illuminated displays.

Final Thoughts on Carnival Magic

Overall, our second visit to Carnival Magic was even better than the first. The park continues to offer a fantastic experience with a mix of great food, friendly service, and an impressive show. For families looking for a fun day out in Phuket, this theme park is well worth the ticket price. No need to travel far — Thailand has some truly world-class attractions right at home!

So, if you’re planning a trip to Phuket, we highly recommend adding Carnival Magic to your itinerary.
